Black and orange you can't go wrong really. Like others have said I too am a huge fan of cane creek tis lush stuff. What wheels you going for T? Or just swapping over from the dead cotic?

Not much is coming over from the Cotic as the Genesis is a 27.5 wheeler... So wheels are WTB rims laced to Deore Hubs, I would go for something a bit nicer but it is a winter/beat around hardtail.

I hear what your saying but I find even the lower end kit like Deore decent stuff.

any chance of a close up of the chainstays near the bb looks like its a bit different from the norm.

It's a 73mm shell as well. Quite a simple idea to get the mud clearance and Chainset in. Quite a few modern frames are doing it.

It's designed for a 2 x 10/11 setup.

only thing that worries me is there aint a lot of chainstay to weld onto the bb.
