Truth is, wasn't getting on with the Intense. I've tried really hard to get it to ride the way I want, but it's not working. I think I'm still on the rebound after my GT got stolen...

So, Intense out the door, 2015 Trek EX frame in. I'm pretty skint at the moment and Trek we're clearing these off as they are out of date. Hopefully be a good bit of cheap summer fun.

Here's me with it... shop so busy haven't had a chance to build it, and in its first build stage.

It's a sweet ride. Am so much happier on this than the Intense.

Set up was quick and easy, you could tell instantly in the bike needed a bit more front or rear compression. 4 runs of a 60 second downhill and it's almost spot on.

Climbs well, bit slow to turn on uphill techy singletrack but that's the nature of these big wheel/wide bar/long travel bikes.

Point it down and it's confidence inspiring. The 140mm Pike sucks everything up, needs a bit of tune to get it working nicer on small bump sensitivity, but it tracks nicely and isn't too stif. Rear end follows through spot on, found that a slow rebound setting helped get the bike away faster on small jumps/compressions as can get the power down slightly early/ping it out of corners.

Also fitted a set of Conti XKing Black Chilli tyres, these stick at silly lean angles and need to get used to that as I'm used to them breaking away.
I
Bike needs some lighter wheels, so am going to be getting a set of Stans ZTR on an undecided hub. This should bring it to life.

Sweet ride that T, looks ace but black and orange is always an awesome combo. My first Cannondale M series was that colour I loved it.
